5 fan theories around Marvel’s Black Panther that will blow your mind

Marvel’s Black Panther is the first superhero film of the year and speculations are rife that it could be the best superhero film yet. Fans were already impressed with Chadwick Boseman’s portrayal of Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War. The trailer of this solo superhero film also got all the Marvel fans super excited. Chadwick has already become our favourite superhero. Obviously, Black Panther will, in some way, also be a lead up to Infinity War which will release in April 2018. Well, at least that’s what fans are hoping. Theories around what to expect from the film are so wild and mind-blowing we can’t wait to watch the film already.
The film has been in the news for a lot of reasons. If it isn’t about Marvel casting its first black superhero, it is about the studio not featuring Okoye and Ayo’s LGBTQ relationship. But we’re more excited about the theories around the film and of course, to know if any of the other Avengers will make an entry in the film at some point. The story continues from where it left off in Captain America: Civil War. Hence we know that Cap is hiding in Wakanda. So far there has been no news about any of the other Avengers’ involvement in the film. (ALSO READ: Black Panther creates a unique record by garnering a 100 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes)
With just a couple of days left for the film to release in India, let’s have a look at some of these fan theories.
Ulysses Klaue might not die
Ulysses Klaue made his first appearance in Age of Ultron and is seen in quite a lot of scenes in the trailer. Knowing Marvel, they usually kill off the secondary villains but fans believe that they might make him one of the main villains without killing him. For all you know, he might join hands with Thanos to help him track down all the infinity stones. Fans are also saying that Killmonger, played by Michael B Jordan, might be brainwashed into hating T’Challa by Klaue, which makes Klaue the main villain again.
The soul stone
Talking about the infinity stones, fans suggest that the soul stone can be found in the vibranium mound. This theory leads us to believe that the soul stone is how Black Panther communicates with the Black Panthers of the past. If you look at the trailer closely, there is a scene where T’Challa meets the other panthers. You can check out the screenshots below that support this theory. Though there are a lot of fans who also believe that communicating with the other Black Panthers is ancient Wakandan magic and has nothing to do with the infinity stones.

Killmonger might be related to T’Challa
So another bunch of fans are speculating that Killmonger and T’Chall might turn out to be brothers. According to their theory, Killmonger must have been T’Chaka’s lovechild from when he visited America and that he might actually be T’Chala’s half-brother. While it is an interesting theory, we really hope it’s not true. To be fair, it actually is kind of convincing.
Shuri will be one of the best heroes
T’Chala’s sister Shuri has already been stated as the smartest person in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Whether she is on her brother’s side or if she has plans of her own, we’ll only know when we watch the film. But according to the theory, Shuri might be able to take out the mind stone from Vision’s head making it available for Thanos. Fans are also saying that she might just become one of the favourites in MCU.
Captain America and Bucky Barnes’ involvement in the film
Like we said earlier, Civil War ended with Cap and Bucky leaving for Wakanda with T’Chala. But we’re still not sure how much of an involvement the two will have in the solo superhero film. We already saw Cap and Bucky in Wakanda in the Infinity War trailer which makes us wonder if they will make an appearance in this one, too.
